A Capital Fund Drive to raise the necessary money started on April 5th 2001. A group of devoted citizens have pledged their time and support to work towards attaining the goal of $7,500,000. A grant writing campaign has taken place to request money from corporations, foundations, banks, etc. A number of investment selections and naming opportunities are available on all levels of giving.
Armed with a list of present requirements to meet code and to meet the needs of the community, the Board of Directors engaged the architectural firm of Platz associates to offer possible solutions. Through imaginative and creative designs, the architects will address the problem areas with a plan that will enhance all aspects of the Center.
Cost estimates for the total project was to be $7,500,000. This amount is only a fraction of what this space would cost new. The increased economy of operation of the rehabilitated building, its rental income, an annual fund drive, admission fees, and an endowment fund will support the facility and its operation.
